Many towns in Malaysia still have strong reminders of the colonial times. Ipoh town is one of them. Ipoh town is caught in transition between the old and the new with new buildings built alongside the old. Ipoh as it is generally called is in the state of Perak and is easily accessible having common borders with states of Selangor, Pahang, Kelantan, Penang, and Kedah and the Straits of Malacca.
