Chinese new Year plants




PLANTS are symbols of life and growth. For the Chinese, it is a must to have plants decorating their houses and gardens during the Chinese New Year celebration. And Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Feb 7 is the start of the lunar new year.

Bamboo shoots are some of the popular plants to have this time of the year. Other popular plants include lime trees, cherry blossoms and plum blossoms.

Apart from decorative purposes, each of these carries a special connotation that is synonymous with good health, longevity, good fortune, abundance of wealth, business growth and career successes.
