If you are a stamp-collector and especially if aviation is your theme of collection, Malaysia will be issuing a collection of three aviation stamps and other philatelic items tomorrow, Thursday. This issue is to mark a centenary in Malaysian aviation.
The collection will include stamps in three designs in denominations of 60 sen, 80 sen and RM1. Designs depict the birth of aviation, its development and aviation excellence. They include the flight of G.P. Fulle, who landed his Antoinette monoplane at the Ampang race course in 1911, marking the birth of aviation in Malaysia.
Each first-day cover is priced at 50 sen each, would be sold from 8.30am at main post offices. Each purchase would come with a free leaflet explaining the history of aviation.
The folder is priced at RM5.50 each.
