Hi HappySurfer,
I'm looking for a tour agent in Msia. I'm wondering if you would recommend www.marimari.com? Is the cuti.com.my a trusted site?

Hi Ai Shiang, I have not had the chance of booking online with marimari.com nor cuti.com though I have signed up with cuti.com trying to look for accommodation for a Cameron Highlands trip.

Both sites look just as reliable though marimari.com covers more Asean countries while cuti.com covers only four. For a feel of how reliable their service is, go thru their forum. There, you would be able to read comments from holiday-makers who have used their service and stayed in the hotels they recommend on their site.

If you would like to personally get in touch with a travel agent here, I highly recommend Mayflower Acme Tours. You can write to them and work out what you need. However, bear in mind that booking online is a lot cheaper but without the satisfaction of the personal touch nor reassurance of a confirmed booking. Hope the above helps, Ai Shiang. Happy holiday!

hmmm, i just came back from London taking AirAsia X.. not RM499 but RM799 which was the cheapest price when i booked..

SK, I think RM799 is still a very good fare. Was the seat comfortable or rather was the long flight comfortable enough and would you recommend it?

yes, but it was RM799 one way, inclusive of everything the round trip cost me like around RM2300.. i would say it has not much difference with other flights, just that you got no food and water and entertainment if you don't purchase them with some extra money.. if you are going on a budget flight, i think this is it..

SK, thanks so much for your insight and feedback. To quote you from your post, "basically i think if you are going budget, then it's not a bad choice also.."
