This brings to mind some funny episodes I have heard from my friends and from personal experiences but these won't make you meet a millionaire so I'll leave it at that.

However, there is something else that will give you a good chance of meeting a real millionaire. Check out this site where you can Date A Millionaire. Go on, take a stroll through it and tell them what your dream date is, then create your profile. You just need to answer a few questins and submit a pretty picture of yourself. Malaysia's Visa On Arrival (VOA)

Malaysia has recently introduced Visa On Arrival (VOA) which makes it convenient for visitors to the country. However, please note that in Johor Bahru, VOA is only issued at the Tuas checkpoint, not at the Johor Causeway due to heavy traffic.

Below article from The Star for your reference:

Visa not issued at Causeway

KUALA LUMPUR: The Immigration Department does not issue visa on arrival (VOA) at the Johor Causeway due to heavy traffic.

However, Immigration director-general Datuk Wahid Md Don said the VOA was issued at Tuas, the other entry point to Malaysia from Singapore.

He expressed regret over the inconvenience a visitor from New Zealand, Sam Kamini, had to put up with recently when he could not get his visa on arrival at the Causeway.

“His travel agent had failed to inform him that the VOA was issued at Tuas and not at the Causeway.

“The agent should have also told him that VOA application could be forwarded personally to the Singapore High Commission,” Wahid said in response to Kamini’s letter published in The Star on Thursday.

The last Halloween party that my friends and I were invited to was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves very much. However, the only not so swell part was our party costumes. We couldn't get the costumes we wanted so we dressed up simply.

It even has costumes for all occasions - for men, ladies and children as well. My friend who runs a kindergarten would love this batch of Kids Costumes for the upcoming concert. Soap Operas

I think this is a great site for soap opera fans. Now we have a place to go for soaps and to get updates on our favourite Soap Operas.

Looking at the homepage, I like the colour scheme of white, pink and maroon. It's a very soothing colour combination. I like the corner column on upcoming birthdays. That's neat information and the light green is pleasant though I can't say the same for the homepage header, the top most corner. The green here doesn't work. It's not attention-grabbing enough. A darker colour for the text would do much better.

I'm not too high on that running sign. It's distracting. Sorry.

There must be a reason why "Become a member / Forgot your password" is at the bottom of the page. I think it would be better to have it up on top just below the Username and Password fields.

Lastly, I think the homepage need more pictures and bigger ones too.

Unusual Weather Conditions

Experts are attributing the recent unusual floods in Johor and other parts of Malaysia to the warming of the Indian Ocean in the past 20 to 30 years brought about by global warming.

The rising temperature of the Indian Ocean, brought about by a series of events starting with the melting of ice in Greenland, could have caused the unusual and adverse weather conditions in South-East Asia. If the cooling trend in the North Atlantic continued and grew bigger, Europe would eventually head for severe winter in the future.

Send an eCard

Remembering birthdays, anniversaries and the like is important to maintain good and happy relationships. Sending out a card is the least one can do but sometimes when you are away travelling, you might not be able to get a hold of a paper card. What do you do? Send an eCard.

MSN.americangreetings has a wide selection of ecards. Their free animated eCards are available for many occasions including birthdays, holidays and more. These days when I'm pressed for time and not able to go shopping for a paper card, I will send an eCard and I use eCards from MSN.americangreetings for their wide variety.

I find that sending an eCard costs lower compared to mailing paper greeting cards. It's so convenient, I don't have to drive all the way to the Post Office to stand in line for a postage stamp. Paper greeting cards do not arrive on the date I want them to arrive. However, eCards can be timed to the date I want it to arrive plus I can put in my own messages and pictures. Another benefit of an eCard is that I am able to send it to a large number of people at the same time versus having to personalize each individual paper card.

Sign up for a free 30-day trial to send eCards for as low as $13.99 for a yearly subscription where you can send as many cards as you like. If you sign up now, you can personalize a birthday or Valentine's Day eCard and schedule it to be sent out on the date you choose as membership also allows users to schedule eCards to arrive on a specific date.

What's Beautiful To You?

To answer what Belisi asks, "What's Beautiful to You?", I'd say a walk in the rain or sharing an umbrella with someone you love, snuggling up close while he puts a protective arm around you shielding you from the rain, that's beautiful.

A lone rose on a bush of thorns is beautiful, so is a flower in the hair. A dew on a blade of grass is beautiful too for it signals the dawn of a new morning. A lily pond of lilies, white and pink and violet is a beautiful sight - what a delight!

What's beautiful to me is a child linking his hand to another's. So much innocence and love in someone so little. White on children is beautiful. White is the universal language for purity and freshness. While is love.

Unconditional love is beautiful. Never mind their color, never mind their state. Be kind is beautiful. Humility is beautiful, so is being happy for happiness brings out happiness in others. A hearty laugh is beautiful especially when you have friends laughing along with you.

Colors are beautiful for without them the world would be lifeless. Scarves are beautiful, ties are too. Brooches, pins, buttons and bows. Fashion is beautiful. That's what makes the world go round.

Being alive is beautiful.

Malaysia, a Food Haven

When you come to Malaysia, one of the things you'd notice is the variety of food we have here. My foreign friends who visited Malaysia commented that people seem to be eating non-stop. That's probably right as you can get food any time of the day or night. That's right. Some eateries do open 24/7.

I enjoy going to such eateries. It's not only the food that is nice with lots of varieties, the atmosphere or ambience of the place is something else. You'll have to be there to experience it. To attract customers, these restaurant operators install big-screen TVs. The crowd picks up when there is a live soccer match such as an English Premier League game or some other popular sports. People in Malaysia are into EPL and some even place bets to enhance their enjoyment and make some money along the way.

Sports betting is rather popular here in Malaysia. Horse-racing is another popular sport where wagers are placed.

He lost his wife, Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood, to breast cancer in October 2005. She suffered five years fighting it.

The Prime Minister said, “In a way it has special meaning to me but this is not exclusively for me or my feelings,” he told newsmen.

“This is about what the rakyat wants. The number of people suffering from cancer is increasing, so we need to provide the best treatment.”

According to statistics, each year, there are at least 40,000 new cancer patients in the country and about 80% of them are detected rather late.

Among the facilities available will be radiotherapy and oncology, nuclear treatment, surgical oncology, palliative care and daily comprehensive treatment with 252 beds for in-patients.

“The institute will also have a cancer management centre offering programmes for smokers and alcoholics to stop their habit, as well as campaigns on healthy living.

Beach Cruisers

Here in Malaysia, the climate is simply marvellous for outdoor activities. Plus we have a lot of places for such activities. We have space for big gardens, beautiful parks both private and public ones. The trend these days in housing is to have homes built with lots of greenery, space for outdoor activities and sports where children will have a place to play safely and adults will have space for their own sporting or exercise needs.

Public parks these days are equipped with jogging or cycling tracks for the exercise enthusiasts. Cycling is getting to be pretty popular here in urban areas. This could be due to the fact that it offers a good form of exercise which office workers lack in their nine to five jobs. Owning a bicycle would be ideal in this case.

We were on holiday last week in Port Dickson, a beach town on the West Coast and we noticed there were many holiday-makers taking in the beach and surrounding areas on bicycles. How I wish I had one then. With the a gentle breeze blowing and the sun shining, I could imagine their delight to be enjoying the place on a bicycle. Actually, a beach cruiser would have been ideal - for that comfort and style.

I think I'll check out on a beach cruiser for when I go to the beach next. I understand there are lots of colours to choose from and several different types too. I'd definitely go for a purple one. It's sweet and pretty, reflective of the breezy beach environment, just the place for me and my beach cruiser. And I'll add in a basket too for those knicks-knacks that I could pick from the beach.
