Strong winds with waves up to 3.5m are expected to occur over waters off Perlis, Kedah and Penang from Saturday until Tuesday.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said the state Meteorological Department issued an alert that the high waves would be caused by the strong northwesterly winds at the speed of 40 - 50kmph.
“The condition of the strong winds and rough seas will be dangerous to small boats.
“The public should also avoid recreational sea activities and any sea sports during these three days,” he said.
