PM tables bills to repeal Restricted Residence, Banishment Acts
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak tabled the Restricted Residence (Repeal) Bill and the Banishment (Repeal) Bill in Parliament for the first reading at 11.45am Monday.
This is the first in a series of political reforms he had promised on Sept 15
At the same time, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Nazri Abdul Aziz tabled a motion in Parliament Monday under Standing Order 81 to set up a parliamentary select committee on the electoral process.
