A'Formosa in Malacca to be rebuilt

Interesting find: This figurine head was found at the site.

Malacca is steeped in history and one of the structures that tells of Malacca's past and rich history is Fortaleza D'Malacca or more popularly known as the A'Formosa fortress. This tourist site was built in 1512 during the Dutch occupation of Malacca.

The Malaysian Heritage Department, under the Culture, Arts and Heritage Ministry, has initiated a project to rebuild the wall of the fortress, beginning from the ancient wall site in Bandar Hilir. More..
