Smoother Immigration Clearance in Malaysia

Tourists and visitors alike can look forward to smoother immigration clearance, when 1,300 personnel are despatched to entry points in the country as part of efforts to ensure the success of Visit Malaysia Year 2007. The majority of the immigration officers would be assigned to KLIA, the Causeway in Johor Baru and the Penang International Airport after training which would take a few months.

The Le Tour De Langkawi (LTDL), will be the curtain raiser for sports events for VMY 2007. 1.5 billion people are expected to tune in to watch Malaysia’s beauty as major international television networks will carry daily coverage of the race.

Tourism Minister, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, launched the official website of the cycling race, www.ltdl.com.my, in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
